One of the things my father taught me as a child was to be grateful.
Thanksgiving was always an important event in my life because my Dad made sure we sat in the living room and shared what we were grateful for.

I’m glad my dad taught me that principle. It’s something I hope to pass on to my little ones. One of the ways I was taught to show gratitude is to help others who are less fortunate that myself. That’s where Steve Kirk comes in. My friend Steve Kirk spent 2 years in the Philippines about 10 years ago. Parts of the Philippines are developing, but much of it is below poverty level. The average income is $400-500 per year. (Take a minute to watch the News Special that was done on the BELIEVE Foundation) For Philippine parents, one of their greatest desires is for their kids to get an education. It’s education that gives their kids a chance at a more prosperous life. A chance to leave the misery of poverty behind. Something we would all want for our kids. Unfortunately, many children drop out of school because their families can’t afford it. It now costs about $110 for a child to attend school each year. Many families have 3 or 4 kids. With a $500 yearly income, it’s impossible to afford school. The results can be devastating for those children who turn to drugs, gangs and even prostitution. This really bothered Steve. So when he returned to his cozy home in the USA, he wanted to find a way to help as many children as possible stay in school. He wanted them to get the education they needed to create a life of excitement, growth and prosperity instead of being consigned to a life of poverty, drugs, and hopelessness.

Improve Their Life Every Year!
We decided to donate part of the membership dues each month to sponsoring students. So you’ll be sponsoring your own student and helping them get through school each year. We think it would be pretty cool to sponsor 1000 kids. That would be like giving an entire U.S. high-school education every single year!
As we talked about the best way help BELIEVE, we thought it would be cool to include our members in on it as well. Of course, our Maverick Members ARE the coolest in the industry, and we thought you would enjoy seeing part of your membership do good for others as well as your own family.
Of course there’s no additional fee for you. We’re just applying part of your membership to a great cause.
Tiffani and I have been sponsoring several children for years now. It always brings us great joy to hear from them and see their gratitude. (I found a couple very cute, heartfelt letters from the students we sponsor. You can see them by clicking here.)
Recently, Ethan told me he wanted to contribute to a good cause. (Ethan is a very generous person, by the way). I told him about BELIEVE. He watched the videos, saw what they were doing, and was in.
